By Todd Wessell | on September 15, 2023 A Chicago man on Thursday, Sept. 14 at 12:10 p.m. was charged with Battery after he allegedly battered a woman who was riding in his car that was traveling on River Road near Touhy Avenue. According to reports, Des Plaines Police responded to the 2100 block of E. Touhy Avenue for a report of a suspicious incident. When the officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with the victim who stated that while she was walking on the sidewalk northbound on River Road a male subject pulled up in a metallic orange colored sedan and offered her a ride.
